damned if I do, damned if I don't

For the record, me and Kristin get along just fine. But sometimes I feel like I'm just constantly teetering between doing nothing and proactively doing things wrong.

I've spent so much time recently sitting around at my desk accomplishing nothing that I'm eager whenever there's something productive to be done. But when I helpfully (or so I thought) went to tell Ueda-sensei what Kristin and I had planned for class tomorrow, Kristin's response was disapproval that I went by myself instead of organizing a meeting between the three of us. MY BAD. But since Kristin constantly goes to talk to our teachers without informing me, it honestly just didn't occur to me to wait for her.

Well. At least she sounded more on the disappointed side than the condescending "Anna, you're a moron" voice I get occasionally.

Let me pose this question, my often time passive-aggressive southern belle; did you raise your objections to this girl? If you didn't, you're really just reinforcing your collective inefficiency.

I'm also curious as to why this girl found it to be such an issue in the first place.Unless you tried to take undue credit for something, the fact that you notified your superior of an agreed upon plan is immaterial.
Seems like she has some control issues.

Anyway, the next time she treats you like an idiot, just do what I do: roll your eyes back into your head and go "DUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!"
She'll get the point.

Well, first of all, this instance in particular wasn't actually that bad. It just struck me because I was surprised by her reaction. Five minutes later it was a moot point and we were back on our usual level ground.

But you're right, I almost never say anything when she treats me like an idiot. For one thing, she has seniority, as this is her third year here. Though I co think she takes for granted the things she understands and knows as things that I should also understand and know, so she gets grouchy when she thinks I'm asking a stupid question.

At this point, I'm not going to make a big deal out of it. She's going back to Canada in three months, and I'll have a new coworker to worry about! :P

I didn't mean to imply that she's in constant bitch mode, but it seems like your overall relationship is a bit tenuous.Besides, I'm on your side, so she can just take a deep breath before she gets all moody *frown*.

You know, soon you'll be the senior...educator person..., and then YOU'LL be the one getting all catty and stern.

Y'know, McC, it does my heart good to know you'll always have my back. :)

I got your front, too. That's a little bit harder. In fact, to cover both sides,I'll probably wind up with vertigo.

I also am now thinking of a scenario in which you are arguing with someone, and I suddenly loom out from behind you. I'll try that one day,if I can find a way to hide myself behind a person who is barely 5'2". <3
